Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is a private, historically Black university located in Atlanta, Georgia. Established in 1988 as a result of the consolidation of Atlanta University (founded in 1865) and Clark College (founded in 1869), CAU is part of the Atlanta University Center Consortium and is situated in a bustling urban environment, providing access to a multitude of cultural, professional, and recreational opportunities. Known for a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs, the university notably houses prominent schools of Business Administration, Arts and Sciences, Education, and Social Work. With a moderately selective admissions process, Clark Atlanta attracts a diverse student body invested in academic achievement. While the campus is home to traditional and suite-style residence halls accommodating a significant portion of the student population, excellence in academics is supported through various research and innovation initiatives. CAU's athletic teams, known as the Panthers, compete in the NCAA Division II Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, with their men's and women's basketball teams being particularly competitive.

In the most recent statistical year 16,153 prospective students applied, and 9,088 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 1,157 enrolled in the school.  3,649 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 351 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $21,948 plus fees of $2,782.
