Alabama A&M University, established in 1875, is a public, historically Black institution located in Normal, Alabama, encapsulated by a hilltop setting just minutes from downtown Huntsville. The university spans a 2,300-acre campus, characterized by a blend of modern and historic architecture, including the notable landmark Pervis Hall. A member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, Alabama A&M is notable for its rich tradition in athletics, competing in Division I sports.
