Prairie View A & M University, established in 1876, is a public institution situated in Prairie View, Texas, approximately 50 miles northwest of Houston. Embracing its historic designation as a historically black university, Prairie View A & M offers a wide range of academic programs with notable emphasis on engineering, agriculture, and nursing.
