Overview

North Dakota State University-Main Campus (NDSU) is a public research institution located in Fargo, North Dakota, the state's largest city and an agricultural and industrial hub. Established in 1890 as North Dakota Agricultural College, NDSU has developed into a university notable for its research endeavors, particularly in areas such as agriculture, engineering, and the sciences. The campus itself is characterized by a mix of contemporary and historical architecture set within a vibrant, urban setting that provides a backdrop for a diverse and dynamic student experience. In the most recent statistical year 8,535 prospective students applied, and 8,166 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 2,513 enrolled in the school.  9,909 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 2,333 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $9,309 plus fees of $1,683.
