Overview

University of Mary is a private Catholic university located in Bismarck, North Dakota, founded by the Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Monastery in 1959. Situated on a scenic campus overlooking the Missouri River, the university is approximately three hours away from Fargo and offers a quiet, contemplative environment emblematic of its spiritual foundations. The university fosters a comprehensive educational approach with an array of undergraduate, graduate, and online programs, with an emphasis on health sciences, education, and business disciplines. University of Mary is known for maintaining a moderately selective admissions process. In the most recent statistical year 1,499 prospective students applied, and 1,220 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 458 enrolled in the school.  2,462 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,190 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $18,710 plus fees of $2,352.
