Smith College, established in 1871, is a private liberal arts women's college in Northampton, Massachusetts, part of the historic Seven Sisters colleges. Located in the Connecticut River Valley, just a short drive from Springfield, the campus is prominent for its landscape-designed grounds and Neo-Classical and Victorian architecture. Smith's rigorous academic programs, with a notable strength in STEM fields and social sciences, attract a diverse student body prioritizing an inclusive academic environment. The college maintains a highly selective admissions process and offers a variety of degree programs, including a renowned engineering program unique among women's colleges. With a commitment to sustainability and innovation, Smith College provides housing to all undergraduates, fostering a residential college experience.
