Overview

Hampshire College, founded in 1970 as an experiment in alternative higher education, is a private liberal arts college located in Amherst, Massachusetts. Set in the rural landscape of the Pioneer Valley, the campus boasts a modern architectural style with emphasis on sustainability, and is roughly 15 miles from the vibrant college city of Northampton.
