Louisiana State University-Shreveport (LSU Shreveport or LSUS), located in Shreveport, Louisiana, is a public university founded in 1967. The campus is set in a suburban area of the city, providing a tranquil environment that is relatively close to the cultural and commercial activities of downtown Shreveport. With its modern architecture and spread-out layout, LSUS offers both commuter and residential options, with on-campus housing available to students. The university is moderately selective, with a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, and is particularly known for its business school and health sciences programs. While LSUS is not predominantly recognized for its athletic programs, it provides a variety of recreational sports and activities for student involvement.
