Overview

Stetson University, established in 1883, is a private institution residing on a 178-acre campus in DeLand, Florida, roughly 20 miles from Daytona Beach and within proximity to Orlando. Characterized by its historic buildings, some of which exhibit late 19th century and Mediterranean Revival architecture, the university offers a comprehensive range of academic programs, notably in Business Administration, Music, and Law. While Stetson maintains a selective admissions process, it provides undergraduates with a variety of housing options, including residence halls and apartment-style living. The university commits to a robust academic experience focusing on rigorous coursework and personalized attention, supported by a student-to-faculty ratio that encourages individualized learning. In the most recent statistical year 7,344 prospective students applied, and 6,889 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 666 enrolled in the school.  3,486 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 442 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $51,960 plus fees of $360.
