Florida College occupies a historic campus along the Hillsborough River in Temple Terrace, a suburban community located northeast of Tampa. The private, religiously-affiliated institution, established in 1946, maintains its original Mediterranean Revival architecture across its riverside campus, which includes traditional residence halls for its predominantly residential student population. The liberal arts college, operating as an independent institution associated with Churches of Christ, offers bachelor's degrees with particular focus in biblical studies, business, education, and communication. Students are required to take biblical coursework as part of the core curriculum, and the college maintains a conservative religious environment with separate residence halls for men and women.
