West Virginia University (WVU), located in Morgantown, offers a quintessential college experience through a combination of rigorous academic programs, a picturesque campus, and a variety of housing options. Founded in 1867, WVU is a public, land-grant institution interconnected with the city, which lies along the banks of the Monongahela River and is about 75 miles south of Pittsburgh.
