Overview

Providence College, a private Catholic institution in Providence, Rhode Island, was established in 1917 by the Dominican Friars. Distinguished by its suburban setting, the college offers a blend of traditional Gothic architecture and modern facilities, embodying a serene academic atmosphere within its 105-acre campus. Strategically located approximately two hours from Boston and three hours from New York City, Providence College allows students the tranquility of a suburban campus with access to urban centers. In the most recent statistical year 11,129 prospective students applied, and 5,874 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 1,156 enrolled in the school.  4,044 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 429 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $56,980 plus fees of $948.
