Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU), located in Delaware, Ohio, is a private liberal arts college founded in 1842 with a campus noted for its picturesque, collegiate gothic architecture. Situated approximately 20 miles north of Columbus, OWU provides a suburban setting that blends small-town charm with proximity to urban amenities. The university enrolls a diverse student body and offers a broad spectrum of over 90 majors, with particular strengths in fields such as politics and government, biological sciences, and economics. The academic environment at OWU is characterized by a selective admissions process. Residential life is an integral part of the student experience, with a range of housing options available, including traditional dormitories, fraternity and sorority houses, and small living units. Ohio Wesleyan is also a member of the NCAA Division III, competing in the North Coast Athletic Conference, and while not primarily known for its athletic prowess, it offers a variety of sports programs for student participation.
