Muskingum University is a private liberal arts institution situated in the rural village of New Concord, Ohio, approximately 70 miles east of Columbus. The 245-acre campus, established in 1837, features Georgian-style architecture across its rolling hills, including its landmark Montgomery Hall. The university maintains a residential campus culture with required on-campus housing for undergraduates during their first three years. While offering more than 70 academic programs across its three divisions, Muskingum is particularly recognized for its education, science, and business programs, along with its support services for students with learning differences. The institution competes in NCAA Division III athletics as the Fighting Muskies, participating in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
