Goucher College, a private liberal arts institution founded in 1885, is situated in Towson, Maryland, within the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. The college, recognized for its picturesque campus with Collegiate Gothic architecture, offers a traditional undergraduate program, post-baccalaureate premedical program, and a range of graduate programs. Goucher takes pride in its commitment to global education and was one of the first colleges in the United States to require all of its students to study abroad. This hallmark of Goucher's curriculum underscores its academic philosophy which emphasizes international awareness. The college maintains a moderately selective admissions process and offers more than 30 majors, with particularly strong programs in the arts, humanities, and international studies. While Goucher does provide residential halls for students, emphasizing on-campus living as a part of the college experience, it does not spotlight athletics as a cornerstone of campus life.

In the most recent statistical year 2,946 prospective students applied, and 2,364 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 269 enrolled in the school.  1,026 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 701 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $49,020 plus fees of $200. Goucher College is ranked 246 nationally in the CollegeSimply.com 2024 U.S. Colleges Ranking.
