The University of Delaware, located in Newark, Delaware, is a public research university with a history dating back to 1743, making it one of the oldest in the nation. Its main campus in Newark is characterized by Georgian architecture and is situated halfway between Philadelphia and Baltimore, providing access to several major metropolitan areas. The university offers a diverse spectrum of academic programs, with notable strength in chemical engineering, business, and education.
