Midwestern State University is located in Wichita Falls, Texas, approximately 140 miles northwest of Dallas-Fort Worth. The public liberal arts institution occupies a 255-acre campus characterized by Spanish Colonial Revival architecture and native Texas landscaping. Established in 1922 as Wichita Falls Junior College, MSU Texas operates as the state's only public liberal arts university and a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges.
