Ursinus College

Overview

Ursinus College is a private liberal arts college located in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, a suburban setting approximately 25 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Founded in 1869, the college occupies a 170-acre campus known for its inviting, red-brick Collegiate Gothic architecture. Ursinus offers more than 60 majors and minors with a strong emphasis on undergraduate research and interdisciplinary studies. Particularly recognized for its science programs, Ursinus has a notable Health and Exercise Physiology Department and is also home to the Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art. Student housing is a significant aspect of campus life, with a variety of residential options including traditional dormitories, suite-style accommodations, and special interest housing. The college maintains a holistic and moderately selective admissions process. Although Ursinus is not principally known for its athletics, it competes in Division III of the NCAA as the Bears, offering a range of sports programs for student-athletes.

In the most recent statistical year 3,237 prospective students applied, and 2,661 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 381 enrolled in the school.  1,502 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 25 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $58,016 plus fees of $0.
