Overview

Eastern University is a private, coeducational Christian university located in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, which is situated just west of Philadelphia, granting students the dual benefit of a suburban campus environment with proximity to an urban center. Founded in 1925, the university boasts a picturesque campus known for its Collegiate Gothic architecture. Eastern University offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, with a particular emphasis on faith, reason, and justice across disciplines. Notable academic offerings include programs in education, business, and the social sciences. Although Eastern University has a moderately selective admissions process, it welcomes a diverse body of students each year. On-campus housing is available, fostering a vibrant residential community. In the most recent statistical year 2,994 prospective students applied, and 1,893 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 464 enrolled in the school.  2,310 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 3,459 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $35,864 plus fees of $600.
