Marymount Manhattan College (MMC) is a private liberal arts college located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York City. Situated in one of the city's most prestigious and vibrant neighborhoods, the college provides students with an urban campus environment marked by a notable modern aesthetic, given the absence of traditional collegiate Gothic architecture. Founded in 1936 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary as a two-year women's college, MMC evolved into a four-year, coeducational institution.
