Western New England University is a private institution situated in Springfield, Massachusetts, providing a suburban atmosphere just minutes away from the urban offerings and cultural experiences of downtown Springfield. Established in 1919, the university originally served as a satellite campus of Northeastern College, gaining its independent university status in 1951.
