There are two main differences which set HMC apart from all other educational institutions, the honor code and the ITR. Honor code means take-home tests, open book exams, camaraderie, and less cheating. This type of environment fosters the strongest work ethics and best fertile foundation for innovation. ITR means ineligible to re-register. Students regularly ITR (kicked out) when they can't take the stress of competition amongst themselves. This type of competition lays the foundation for real world competition. I learned not to compare myself to other students and to only compare myself to absolute standards - i.e. doing better than I can even imagine doing. This reasoning is similar to that used on racing horses when blinders are placed on their eyes to prevent them from looking left and right to compare themselves to other horses in the race. All students are geniuses and all have perfect HS grades. Don't compare yourself, you'll ITR. HMC is ranked #1 ROI by PayScale. -RY
