Founded in 1842, Willamette University is a private liberal arts college located in Salem, Oregon, adjacent to the state capitol and approximately an hour's drive from the major metropolitan area of Portland. Characterized by its historic campus featuring a blend of contemporary and Gothic Revival architecture, Willamette is recognized for fostering a close-knit academic community. The university offers a range of undergraduate programs with notable strength in law, business, and a liberal arts curriculum.
