Lewis & Clark College is a private institution of higher education situated in Portland, Oregon, and characterized by a scenic campus offering views of Mount Hood. Founded in 1867, it integrates a liberal arts college with a school of law and a graduate school of education and counseling, reflecting a commitment to interdisciplinary academic excellence. The picturesque campus is known for its reflection of the natural landscape of the Pacific Northwest as well as its environmentally conscious facilities, with numerous opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration just a short distance from the urban amenities of downtown Portland. Recognized for its selective admissions process, Lewis & Clark offers a variety of prominent academic programs, such as International Affairs, Environmental Studies, and Law. The majority of students reside in on-campus housing, contributing to the vibrant campus life. While athletics are a facet of campus life, the college is not predominantly known for its sports programs, but it does compete in the NCAA Division III as the Pioneers.
