Michigan Technological University (MTU), established in 1885 and situated in the town of Houghton on Michigan?s Upper Peninsula, offers a focused educational atmosphere, especially renowned for its engineering and technology programs. This public research university, located far from Michigan's major urban centers, is nestled within a region known for its natural surroundings, which contributes to the campus?s notable rural and outdoorsy feel.
