Purdue University-Main Campus, located in West Lafayette, Indiana, offers a blend of suburban and rural atmospheres approximately an hour northwest of Indianapolis. Founded in 1869 as a land-grant institution, Purdue has risen to prominence with a strong emphasis on engineering, technology, and agriculture, bolstering its reputation for producing significant research outputs. It is particularly noted for its School of Aeronautics and Astronautics within the College of Engineering.
