Saint Mary's College, a private women's liberal arts institution founded in 1844 by the Sisters of the Holy Cross, is located adjacent to the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, approximately 90 miles east of Chicago. The 100-acre suburban campus features Gothic architecture and is situated along the St. Joseph River.
