Bethel University (formerly Bethel College), located in Mishawaka, Indiana, is a private Christian liberal arts university established in 1947. Situated near South Bend and approximately 90 miles from Chicago, the campus hosts a blend of modern and traditional architecture set in a suburban environment. Bethel offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs with a focus on integrated faith-based learning. Among its academic offerings, Bethel is noted for its programs in nursing, business, and education. The university has a moderately selective admissions process. Residential life is an integral part of the Bethel experience, with on-campus housing options available for students. While the university does participate in intercollegiate athletics, competing as the Pilots in the NAIA and the Crossroads League, it does not specifically emphasize athletic achievement as a cornerstone of its identity.
