Lewis University, located in Romeoville, Illinois, is a private institution founded in 1932 by the Archdiocese of Chicago and is now sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. The university is situated in a suburban setting approximately 35 miles southwest of Chicago, providing a campus atmosphere that blends access to a major urban center with a quieter, collegiate environment. Lewis fosters a diverse academic profile with programs known for aviation, criminal/social justice, and nursing, attracting a student body interested in these and other fields.
