Overview

Westmont College, located in Santa Barbara, California, is an independent, interdenominational Christian liberal arts college that emphasizes academic rigor and faith integration. The campus offers a picturesque setting nestled in the foothills of the Santa Ynez Mountains, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, a short distance from the city of Santa Barbara. Founded in 1937, Westmont has evolved into an institution that provides a comprehensive undergraduate education through its various programs, with particular strength in the fields of biology, psychology, and economics. Westmont operates on a residential model, with a majority of students living on its scenic campus, which features Spanish-influenced architecture. The college upholds a holistic and selective admissions process. Westmont College, while not primarily known for its athletics, competes in the Golden State Athletic Conference, with various teams known as the Westmont Warriors.

In the most recent statistical year 2,326 prospective students applied, and 1,907 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 315 enrolled in the school.  1,272 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 12 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $48,840 plus fees of $1,226.
