Soka University of America, located in Aliso Viejo, California, is a private liberal arts college established in 2001. The university is situated on a 103-acre campus featuring Mediterranean-style architecture, less than 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean and in proximity to the urban offerings of Los Angeles. Soka University of America emphasizes a nonsectarian curriculum on global citizenship and pacifism with a notable focus on Pacific Rim studies and language education.
