Overview

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is a public historically black university located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, approximately 45 miles south of the state capital, Little Rock. Established in 1873 as Branch Normal College, it is part of the University of Arkansas System and offers a diverse range of undergraduate programs with notable emphasis on agriculture, fisheries and human sciences, business, and education. UAPB's campus showcases a mix of contemporary and historical architecture, including structures that highlight the school's long-standing heritage.
