Penn State Schuylkill, a commonwealth campus of The Pennsylvania State University system, is located in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, approximately 100 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The 70-acre suburban campus features a mix of modern academic buildings and traditional collegiate architecture nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. As part of Penn State's 2+2 program, students can begin their first two years in any of more than 275 Penn State majors at this campus before transitioning to other Penn State locations, though several four-year degrees can be completed entirely at Schuylkill, including business, psychology, and cybersecurity analytics. The campus provides apartment-style student housing in Nittany Apartments, where approximately one-third of students reside.
