Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, established in 1854 and located in the rural setting of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, holds the distinction of being the first degree-granting historically black university in the United States. The university, which sits approximately one hour from Philadelphia, offers a range of bachelor's and master's degree programs, with a notable emphasis on humanities, behavioral sciences, and business.
