Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, located in Cheyney, Pennsylvania, holds the distinction of being the oldest historically black college or university (HBCU) in the United States, with its establishment dating back to 1837. Cheyney University of Pennsylvania has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  621 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 76 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $7,716 plus fees of $3,188.
