Manhattanville College

Overview

Manhattanville College, located in Purchase, New York, is a private liberal arts institution situated just 30 miles from New York City. Founded in 1841, the college features a picturesque suburban campus known for its noteworthy Castle, a National Historic Place that adds a distinct gothic architectural presence. Manhattanville offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with a notable emphasis on education and liberal arts. The school practices a more selective admissions process. Student housing is available, accommodating a substantial proportion of the student body in a variety of residence hall settings. While Manhattanville fields a number of athletic teams known as the Valiants, they are not predominantly recognized for their athletic programs at a national level.

In the most recent statistical year 3,338 prospective students applied, and 2,808 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 314 enrolled in the school.  1,558 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 682 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $39,660 plus fees of $1,550.
