Union County College

Overview

Union County College (UCC), based in Cranford, New Jersey, serves as the oldest community college in the state, founded in 1933. Situated approximately 17 miles southwest of New York City, the college offers a suburban campus environment. UCC maintains a dedication to providing accessible, affordable, and comprehensive education across over 60 programs, which include notable offerings in Liberal Arts, Sciences, and Business. While the college does not provide on-campus housing, it facilitates a dynamic commuter experience for students. Academic pursuits at UCC steer towards an open admissions policy, whereby the selectivity of the institution allows a broad demographic of students to pursue higher education. Union County College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  3,493 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 4,303 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $10,562 plus fees of $0.
