Overview

Salem State University is a public institution located in Salem, Massachusetts, renowned for its rich maritime heritage and its proximity to the historic and culturally vibrant city of Boston. The campus fosters a coastal and academic ambiance, situated not far from the scenic beaches and waterways that define the North Shore region. In the most recent statistical year 5,093 prospective students applied, and 4,719 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 863 enrolled in the school.  4,485 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 2,054 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $910 plus fees of $11,068.
