Harper College

Overview

Established in 1967, Harper College is a public community college located in Palatine, Illinois, a suburb approximately 30 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. The institution provides a range of two-year associate degrees, certification programs, and workforce readiness education on a campus characterized by a modern architectural style with expansive green spaces. Though Harper College does not provide on-campus housing, it offers a comprehensive commuter experience with on-site amenities designed to accommodate a diverse student population. The college operates under an open admissions policy, welcoming a broad spectrum of applicants each academic year. Harper College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  3,823 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 8,611 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $9,372 plus fees of $570.
