Triton College

Overview

Triton College, situated in River Grove, Illinois, is a public institution established in 1964 that provides a diverse range of academic courses and vocational training programs. Located just 14 miles from the vibrant city of Chicago, the campus fosters a suburban atmosphere while benefiting from close proximity to a major urban center. Stretching across a 110-acre campus, Triton is known for its Health Careers and Public Service programs, offering degrees and certificates in fields such as Nursing and Criminal Justice. Triton does not provide on-campus housing, reflecting its community college model which typically serves local commuter students. The college maintains an open admissions policy, thereby extending opportunities for higher education to a broader student demographic. Although not primarily recognized for athletics, Triton College supports a variety of sports programs under the team name Tritons.

Triton College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  2,612 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 6,004 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $11,010 plus fees of $480.
