Southwestern University, located in Georgetown, Texas, is a private, liberal arts college approximately 28 miles north of Austin. Established in 1840, Southwestern holds the distinction of being the oldest institution of higher learning in the state. The campus architecture features a blend of historic and modern buildings, fostering a picturesque setting. Offering a range of undergraduate degrees, Southwestern is particularly noted for its programs in the Fine Arts, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences. With a selective admissions process, the university seeks students who exhibit a strong academic foundation and a diverse set of interests.
