LeTourneau University, located in Longview, Texas, approximately 120 miles east of Dallas, is a private, interdenominational Christian university founded in 1946 by R.G. LeTourneau. Known for its engineering and aeronautical science programs, LeTourneau offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees across various disciplines. The campus features a contemporary architectural style with facilities designed to support its technical and vocational emphasis. LeTourneau University is characterized by a moderate level of application selectivity and provides a residential experience with on-campus housing options available for students. While the university is not particularly known for its athletic programs, it participates in the NCAA Division III as the LeTourneau YellowJackets, offering various sports for student-athletes.
