Overview

Galveston College, established in 1967, is a public community college located in the coastal city of Galveston, Texas, approximately 50 miles southeast of Houston. Recognized for its broad array of academic programs, the institution is particularly noted for its offerings in maritime studies, nursing, and the culinary arts, reflecting the local economic landscape and workforce demands. Galveston College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  656 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,370 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $2,220 plus fees of $1,046.
