Overview

The University of South Carolina-Beaufort (USCB) is a public university located in Bluffton, South Carolina, situated near the historic city of Savannah, Georgia. Established in 1959, USCB operates as one of the separate campuses in the University of South Carolina System. Emphasizing a liberal arts education, the university offers a variety of undergraduate programs with particular strengths in business administration, nursing, and hospitality management. The campus architecture blends modern and coastal-style structures, providing a visual representation of its locale's heritage. USCB's admissions are considered moderately selective, attracting a diverse undergraduate student body. In the most recent statistical year 2,479 prospective students applied, and 1,984 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 476 enrolled in the school.  1,673 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 451 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $10,344 plus fees of $386.
