Overview

Allen University is a private HBCU (Historically Black College or University) located in Columbia, South Carolina, offering a close-knit campus environment in an urban setting. Chartered in 1870, the university is imbued with a rich history rooted in African Methodist Episcopal traditions. Its distinctive gothic architecture adds a historical character to the campus.
