Marietta College is a private liberal arts institution situated along the Ohio River in historic Marietta, Ohio, approximately 120 miles southeast of Columbus. The 90-acre campus, established in 1835, features a mix of historic red brick buildings and modern facilities in a residential setting. The college maintains selective admission standards and is recognized for its petroleum engineering program, one of the first established in the United States, along with strong offerings in education, business, and the sciences. Marietta College provides on-campus housing in traditional residence halls and special interest houses, with most students living on campus all four years. As an NCAA Division III institution, the Pioneers compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference across multiple sports programs.
