Overview

Saint Augustine's University, historically black and founded by the Episcopal Church in 1867, is a private liberal arts institution located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Nestled within minutes of the downtown area, the campus spans a 105-acre tract of land, featuring modern and gothic architecture. The university offers a diverse range of undergraduate degrees with notable programs in Business Administration, Organizational Management, and Criminal Justice. Saint Augustine's University maintains a moderately selective admission process. Residential facilities are available, providing on-campus living for students. Noted for its broad liberal arts curriculum, the university aims to equip students with a well-rounded education for leadership and service. While Saint Augustine's University does have an athletics program, the institution is not widely recognized for dominance in intercollegiate sports.

In the most recent statistical year 4,918 prospective students applied, and 2,894 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 341 enrolled in the school.  868 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 240 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $10,968 plus fees of $5,928.
