Overview

Salem Community College, established in 1958, is a public, two-year institution located in Carneys Point, New Jersey, in close proximity to the Delaware River and approximately five miles from Wilmington, Delaware. The campus offers a suburban setting that provides students with a relaxed learning environment. Known for its specialized programs in glass art, thanks to its renowned Glass Education Center, the college attracts a unique blend of students interested in both scientific and artistic glassworking. Salem Community College maintains an open admissions policy, allowing for a broad and inclusive student body. While the institution does not offer on-campus housing, it does serve a large population of commuters who engage in their educational pursuits while benefitting from the campus's commuter-friendly resources. Salem Community College focuses on certificate and associate degree programs, preparing students for either immediate employment or transfer to four-year institutions.

Salem Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  520 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 591 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $6,930 plus fees of $0.
