Washington Adventist University (WAU) is a private liberal arts university located in Takoma Park, Maryland, established in 1904 with a historical affiliation to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The picturesque campus is situated in a suburban setting near the nation's capital, offering students the benefits of proximity to Washington, D.C., for cultural, educational, and professional opportunities. WAU extends a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, with notable emphasis on health professions, business, and biology. The university's academic environment is shaped by its commitment to service, ethics, and faith integration within its curriculum. WAU practices a moderately selective admissions process. The campus features residential facilities, providing on-campus living options for its student body.
