Overview

Saint Joseph's College, located in Rensselaer, Indiana, offers a tranquil, small-town campus environment situated approximately 90 minutes from the metropolitan hub of Chicago. Established by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood in 1889, this private liberal arts college is steeped in Catholic tradition. The academic profile of Saint Joseph's College encompasses a diverse array of undergraduate programs, with particular emphasis on biology, business, and education. While not highly selective, the college does maintain a commitment to a thorough admissions process. Residential life is an integral part of the Saint Joseph's experience, with housing options available to students on campus. Saint Joseph's College, however, suspended its operations in May 2017, leading to the discontinuation of its athletic programs, which had included the "Pumas" competing in sports such as basketball and baseball within the NCAA Division II.

In the most recent statistical year 1,506 prospective students applied, and 1,157 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 227 enrolled in the school.  897 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 75 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $29,650 plus fees of $430.
